What Products Are Discounted In Fanatec’s Black Friday Sale?
Fanatec doesn’t discount every product in their line-up on Black Friday. But you can grab yourself a deal on the products listed below. It’s worth noting that pricing and discounts may vary between regions.
Will Fanatec Have A Sale On The CSL DD/GT DD Pro?
If you’ve been looking to buy the CSL DD or GT DD Pro from Fanatec, you’ll know just how difficult it can be to get your hands on these. The products have been plagued with stock and supply chain issues, meaning getting your hands on either of these has been no mean feat since they were released in 2021.
They’re Fanatec’s cheapest direct drive wheel bases, and this means their profit margins are already substantially lower than on some of their other more expensive products. This means Fanatec doesn’t tend to run sales on these already affordable direct drive wheel bases.
However, we have seen $50 knocked off the regular price on some occasions, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the pricing of these ultra-popular wheel bases come Black Friday.
When Do Fanatec Black Friday Deals Start?
Fanatec’s Black Friday deals started on Monday 20th November 2023, with new deals every day until Black Friday itself, which is the 24th of November 2023. This may vary by region.
Note: There is always a chance the Fanatec website will go down or crash on Black Friday (and through to Cyber Monday). They’re one of the most popular sim racing brands, and these sales can generate a lot of extra traffic that may strain their servers.
It’s also worth noting that CEO and founder Thomas Jackermeier has said in the past that you shouldn’t wait for Black Friday to pick up Fanatec sim racing gear. He believes the value of Fanatec’s products speaks for itself, and the company doesn’t believe in stimulating sales just by cutting the prices.
“We prefer to convince customers with quality, features, functionality, and a strong price-performance ratio.”– Thomas Jackermeier, Fanatec founder and CEO
When Does The Fanatec Black Friday Sale End?
Fanatec’s Black Friday sale typically ends on Cyber Monday (27th November), or when stocks run out (which is a possibility due to the popularity of Fanatec’s products). Fanatec rarely runs sales throughout the year – so this might be your best chance to grab some great sim racing gear at reduced prices!
How Big Are Fanatec’s Black Friday Discounts?
The biggest discount so far has been a 47% discount for the Podium DD2 Wheel Base, which quickly sold out in Europe.
Fanatec’s Black Friday deals have been great some years, and not so great in others. However, the typical range is around 20-30% off, but it varies between products. Some will see a 10% reduction, while for others it might be as much as 30%. For example, we saw the inverted ClubSport V3s at 33% off last year, and add-ons like the Boost Kit 180 and pedals plates for the CSLs were all 30% off too.
Does Fanatec Offer Discount Codes?
Fanatec does not offer discount codes. Their Black Friday deals are simply discounts on the products, and you won’t need to enter any codes to get the sale price.
This is worth bearing in mind if you’re shopping around for Fanatec discount codes elsewhere – if someone tells you that purchasing through their link gets you a discount code or that you have to enter one, be wary of clicking their links.
Does Fanatec Bring Out New Products On Black Friday?
Fanatec doesn’t typically release new products on Black Friday, as they just use the sale weekend to reduce the prices of their existing products. Fanatec will usually announce new products several months before they’re able to ship, like they did with the CSL DD in 2021.
Things may change of course, and we are just speculating here. Fanatec may also release special editions of their existing products on Black Friday, so keep an eye out for them too.
What Were Fanatec’s Black Friday Deals Last Year?
2022 saw Fanatec’s biggest Black Friday sale ever, with the company celebrating their 25th anniversary. They offered lots of different deals, many in the form of ‘free upgrades’. These were essentially some of their premium products reduced in price to match their lower-priced counterparts.
Here are some examples:
- The ClubSport V3 pedals in their inverted form were reduced to cost the same as the regular ClubSport V3s’ non-sale price
- The regular ClubSport V3s were in turn reduced to the price of the CSL Elite Pedals V2
- The Podium DD2 wheel base was on sale for the same (regular) price as the DD1
Fanatec founder and CEO Thomas Jackermeier was careful to point out in a forum post that these were not free upgrades of your existing products. However, there’s no doubt that some of these deals would have made a lot of sim racers happy, and 34% of the people in that forum post said the free upgrades were the best Fanatec Black Friday deals.
